Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 70, 1970) is an American former tight end in the NFL. Gonzalez played for the National Football League from 1997 through 2003. He is considered one of the best tight ends of all time. In addition to being the NFL's leader for receiving yards, as well as the third-highest total of receptions, Gonzalez also was one of the NFL tight end who had the highest number of receptions.
Tony Gonzalez, former All-Pro tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs as well as the Atlanta Falcons, is currently employed at the studio of FOX. Gonzalez, who has been on FOX NFL KICKOFF since this past season, serves as the host for the show. The show airs on Sunday, at 11:00 AM ET prior to FOX NFL Sunday.
Gonzalez was signed to a contract to the Falcons to run for two seasons and $14 million on March 15, 2013. The signing was in spite of the fact that Gonzalez had claimed he planned to retire following the football season of 2013. Following the retirement of Randy Moss, 37-year-old Gonzalez was the league's top player in receiving yards.
